How BAPSCARCARE Works

- Do not start silicone therapy until your skin is completely closed and any scabs or stitches have disappeared.
- Clean the skin on and around the scar thoroughly and allow to dry.
- If necessary, the silicone patch can be cut to the correct size. Make sure that the entire scar with approximately 2 cm of healthy skin around the scar is covered with the patch.
- Remove the first part of the protective film from the silicone patch and carefully apply the adhesive side at the start of the scar.
- Remove the second part of the protective film and apply the next part of the silicone patch to the scar.
- If necessary, BAPSCARCARE S can be fixed with an adhesive or elastic bandage.
- If the adhesive strength of the silicone plaster decreases, the bandage can be cleaned with a neutral soap/lotion.
- After cleaning, rinse the plaster thoroughly with lukewarm running water.
- When in contact with water, the adhesive strength of the silicone patch temporarily decreases significantly.
- Place the silicone patch on a smooth surface with the adhesive side facing up so that the bandage can dry.
- As the plaster dries, its adhesive strength gradually returns.
- Only use the silicone patch when it is completely dry.
